Community Guidelines

The community is a place to be honest about quitting — and to help each other stay quit. These are the rules everyone agrees to before they post.

1. Be kind

No harassment, hate, threats or bullying. There is no tolerance for it here. Disagree with ideas gently — never attack people.

2. Support quitting

Don't promote, sell or glamorise hookah, tobacco, nicotine or vapes. That includes lounge tips, flavour reviews and “just one won't hurt”.

3. Keep it private

No links, contact details, social handles or anything that identifies you or someone else. Your community name doesn't have to be your real name.

4. Share experience, not prescriptions

What worked for you is welcome. Medical advice — medicines, doses, diagnoses — belongs with a professional.

5. Report what breaks these

Reported posts are reviewed within 24 hours. Posts that break the rules are removed, and so are the accounts behind them.

Never allowed

  • Sexual content, graphic violence or threats of any kind.
  • Hate speech, or attacks on anyone's identity.
  • Encouraging self-harm, or mocking someone who is struggling.
  • Buying, selling or advertising anything, and spam.
  • Impersonating another person, or sharing someone's private information.
  • Anything illegal.

How we keep it safe

  • Automatic checks. Posts are screened for blocked words, links and contact details before they appear.
  • Report. Tap the ••• button on any post to report it. You won't see that post again, and we review every report, normally within 24 hours.
  • Mute. From the same menu you can mute a member to hide their posts from you. They aren't told.
  • Remove and ban. Posts that break these rules are removed. Serious or repeated breaches mean a permanent ban.

Something we missed? Tell us.

If someone is in danger

The community isn't watched in real time and isn't a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. In the US, you can call or text 988 any time.
